Workshop: Prosperity Through Preservation -Adaptive Reuse as Economic Development Catalyst

Garavaglia Architecture, Inc.’s Principal, Michael Garavaglia will be a part of a workshop for the California Preservation Foundation, in partnership with San Buenaventura Conservancy and the City of Ventura, next week. The workshop, titled Prosperity Through Preservation – Adaptive Reuse as Economic Development Catalyst, concentrates on the win-win opportunity of utilizing historic adaptive reuse for economic benefit while preserving historic resources.

The workshop will be held on November 10th from 9:00am – 5:00pm:

Los Altos Project in the News!

The Los Altos Town Crier recently featured an article on a residential project Garavaglia Architecture, Inc. has been honored to be a part of. The Shoup House recently underwent restoration just in time to celebrate its 100th year. Principal and Preservation Architect Michael Garavaglia has been invited to be part of a celebration in recognition of this feat.

We’ve Moved!

Garavaglia Architecture, Inc. has relocated our offices to the historic Hobart Building in downtown San Francisco.

We are excited to inform you that as of June 2010, our new address is:

The Hobart building was completed in 1914 by the famed architect Willis Polk, and is easily one of San Francisco’s most recognizable historic landmarks along Market Street. From the sculpted terra cotta exterior to the handcrafted brass and Italian marble interior, the building is a stunning example of Classical revival architecture.

As we approach our 25th year in business, we found it necessary to movie our offices to a larger space to accommodate our growing firm. This space will allow us to continue to expand our staff to better serve your needs.
